What is Personal Accident Insurance for the Armed Forces? Military personal accident insurance is one of the most important forms of protection you will ever need. Our Personal Accident insurance insures you when you are on and off military duty (if serving or a reserve). Our policy provides high-quality personal accident cover and can be tailored to suit you.
Choose from our four levels of personal accident cover that offer up to £160,000 of cover for partial or total permanent disablement, up to £160,000 for loss of sight, loss of hearing and loss of speech. Based on an individual policy our prices are as follows:
Economy policy is £9.21 per month
Standard policy is £13.68 per month
Elite policy is £18.35 per month
Supreme policy is £23.35 per month

Who is this suitable for?
For Regulars and Reservists serving in the United Kingdom’s Armed Forces: The British Army, The Royal Navy and The Royal Marines; and The Royal Air Force. Also available to Veterans and MOD Civilians and Contractors.

Why do I need military personal accident insurance?
Personal accident insurance gives you peace of mind that you, your loved ones and those that rely on you financially will be supported if anything was to happen to you whether that is a life changing injury or death. Our policy can be suited to your needs and covers you whether you are on duty or off duty. You could injure yourself on a night out or at the gym not just whilst fulfilling your military role. Our policy also covers all sports and activities.
Cover for hazardous occupations and activities
Our premiums are the same whatever your military occupation and we cover all trades and occupations in HM Forces with no exceptions. Bomb disposal, fast jet pilots, and special services personnel all pay exactly the same premium as other military personnel.
How much does a Trinity policy cost?

What's not covered?
- Intentional self injury
- An insured person’s criminal acts
- An injured person engaging in any sport on a professional basis
- An insured person while under the influence or affected by alcohol or drugs
What happens if I leave the Armed Forces?
We can continue this policy for veterans until you reach the age of 70.
What happens if I have to leave the Armed Forces on medical grounds?
If you have been medically discharged as a result of an accident we will pay you a cash lump sum of up to £16,000 depending on your selected level of cover.
How many levels of cover are available?
There are four cover levels and you can change at any time. Our cover levels are known as Economy, Standard, Elite and Supreme and provide from £50,000 up to £160,000 of cover. When taking our personal accident you need to think about the sort of level you would need depending on your situation whether you are single or have family to consider.
Can I claim for an accident while in the Army?
Yes, providing you have taken out the policy prior to suffering the injury, whether it occured on or off duty, you can make a claim. It's important to follow the claims procedure as soon as possible. All the contact details are in the documentation.

How long after an accident can you claim?
In order to process your claim and prevent delaying procedures, claims for injuries should be made as soon as possible. To ensure that the claims handlers can best deal with your claims application any relevant documentation including certificates, information and evidence should also be submitted in a timely manner.
Do you offer Marines Personal Accident cover?
Yes, we offer a policy to cover those in the Marines and all services. All military occupations and trades in the HM forces are covered with no exceptions.
