Can I take out a joint policy?
Unfortunately not. This Over 50s life insurance is on a single policy holder basis.
Is there a qualifying period for this policy?
In the event of death or diagnosis of a terminal illness the sum assured amount will be paid out after the policy has been in force for two years.
What is sum assured and what is the maximum?
Sum assured is the amount paid out by the insurance company based on the benefit levels taken out by the policy holder. With this Over 50s life insurance the maximum sum assured amount is £20,000. This is subject to age and smoker status.
Can I have a nominee for the pay-out of this policy?
You can nominate a person on the policy and up to £5,000 can be paid to them.
Can I put the funds in Trust?
You can add the whole amount in to trust which will make it inheritance tax exempt
